23: Seed Bombs

Last year I was working at a pottery studio when a guy came in asking for raw clay so he could make seed bombs. Now first, not knowing what a seed bomb was, I hesitated and gave a look of confusion and a little bit of anxiety. I literally thought this guy was going to make a bomb. But he explained to me that seed bombs are little balls of clay filled with seeds that people throw into vacant pieces of land so plants can grow while the space isn’t used.

In some ways it is kind of like a little protest in all of the buildings that take the place of natural habitats for living things. But it is a harmless act and seems like such a fun things to do.

I had this thought about a Kind bar with nuts and seeds that someone could easily break off into pieces and throw as seed bombs. They would be the ‘throw and grow’ edition.
