Within my other major, Urban and Regional Studies we talk a lot about architecture in terms of sustainable design. There are so many possibilities when it comes to using recycled materials and planning in a way that has minimal impact on the environment and still has great efficiency for people in communities. One of my favorite things to hear about and see is the living wall.
Living walls are can take on many forms but the basic idea is that a wall that is a vertical garden. It can be interior or exterior but it is a great way to incorporate natural elements in a city setting.
I think it would be really cool if the Kind headquarters in New York City had living walls. It is Kind aesthetically because it is considered by many to be an art installation. It also functions as an air purifier by removing toxic particles in the air around us and making a cleaner, greener world.
